Portugal stocks market at close today high

Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 gained 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues, which rose 2.41% or 0.0009 points to trade at 0.0382 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA added 2.01% or 0.1200 points to end at 6.1000 and Pharol SGPS SA  was up 0.73% or 0.0010 points to 0.1380 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Altri SGPS, which fell 4.94% or 0.1960 points to trade at 3.7730 at the close. Semapa declined 0.82% or 0.0950 points to end at 11.5050 and Portucel was down 0.80% or 0.0260 points to 3.2300.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 24 to 19 and 8 ended unchanged.

Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.34% or 0.15 to $44.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.26% or 0.11 to hit $41.87 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.67% or 20.90 to trade at $1227.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1268, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.7957.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.86.
