Spain stocks higher at close of trade |
Spain stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Ferrovial, which rose 3.84% or 0.710 points to trade at 19.200 at the close. Meanwhile, Bankia added 2.52% or 0.021 points to end at 0.853 and Gamesa was up 1.36% or 0.225 points to 16.760 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abertis Infr (MC:ABE), which fell 1.78% or 0.265 points to trade at 14.615 at the close. Acerinox declined 1.20% or 0.130 points to end at 10.685 and Tecnicas Reunidas was down 1.11% or 0.310 points to 27.690.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 125 to 71 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.72% or 21.50 to $1226.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.12% or 0.05 to hit $41.81 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.12 to trade at $44.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1267, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.7957.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.86
