Philippines stocks lower at close of trade |
Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Property, Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were First Gen Corp, which rose 1.39% or 0.30 points to trade at 21.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Philex Mining Corp added 0.93% or 0.050 points to end at 5.450 and Globe Telecom Inc was up 0.65% or 14.000 points to 2168.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petron Corp, which fell 7.45% or 0.820 points to trade at 10.180 at the close. Bloomberry Resorts Corp declined 7.02% or 0.330 points to end at 4.370 and SM Prime Holdings Inc was down 3.72% or 0.850 points to 22.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 124 to 51 and 47 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.11% or 1.30 to $1235.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 4.32% or 1.80 to hit $39.91 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 3.94% or 1.70 to trade at $41.40 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.24% to 7.1310, while USD/PHP rose 0.07% to 46.195.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 94.64.
